Data Deletion Request

Overview

Makeit allows creators and businesses to connect their Instagram account to surface profile analytics and insights. When you connect your account, we collect data provided by Meta's Instagram API including your profile information, follower count, and account insights.

What We Store

• Instagram username and profile details
• Account insights (reach, profile views, engagement)
• Media metadata (post counts, media objects)

We do not sell your data to third parties.

How to Delete Your Data

Option 1 — Email Us

Send a request to team@getmakeit.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request." Include your Instagram username. We will confirm within 5 business days and complete deletion within 30 days.

Option 2 — Disconnect via Instagram

Go to Instagram Settings → Apps and Websites → find Makeit → Remove. This immediately revokes our API access. Submit a deletion email as above to ensure all stored data is purged from our systems.

Option 3 — Disconnect in App

Log into app.getmakeit.com → Account Settings → Disconnect Instagram. This triggers automatic deletion of all associated data within 30 days.

What Happens After Deletion

All personally identifiable data tied to your Instagram account will be permanently removed from Makeit's systems. Anonymized aggregate data may be retained for internal analytics purposes.
